In reviewCustomer files arrive on the order
A file upload app for Shopify product pages: shoppers attach a JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC or PDF, the file name goes on the order line, and a daily test upload tells you if it breaks.

The problem it fixes
A custom product depends on one fragile step. If the upload box quietly stops working, you hear from a customer who could not upload. You cannot tell a quiet week from a broken box.
- 01
The limit shoppers read is the limit enforced
The upload box shows the file types and size the server really accepts, from one list. A shopper is never told 25 MB and then refused at a smaller number.
One constants file feeds the box text and the server check
- 02
The file name goes on the order line
After the upload, the file name is added to the line item as 'Upload'. Open the Uploads screen in the app to download the file for each order.

One email when uploads break, one when fixed
A test upload runs every day. If it fails twice in a row, you get one email, and one more when it works again. Errors on our side and a full store trigger the same once-only emails.
Daily test upload, alerts sent once per problem
- 04
Files are deleted on the date you choose
Keep files 30, 90 or 180 days. The default is 90. Each file shows its deletion date, and you can delete any file sooner.
Retention setting, automatic purge, two-step Delete
- 05
A weekly summary, on by default
Every Monday morning you get one short email: uploads and refusals that week, whether the daily test passed, and anything still open. Turn it off in Settings.

How file upload on your product page works
- 1
Install and send a test upload
Home has a three-step setup guide. Press Send a test upload to store a file and read it back, and check that the test email arrives.
- 2
Choose where alerts go
In Settings, type the address for alerts. Choose which file types to allow and how long files are kept. Save.
- 3
Add the box to your product page
Press Open the theme editor. The File upload block opens on your product template. Place it next to Add to cart and save. Tick File required if the product needs a file.
- 4
Download files from Uploads
Each order line shows the file name. Open Uploads in the app to download the file or delete it.
What it watches for you
A daily test upload on your live store
Every day the app checks that your store's upload path answers, then stores a tiny file and reads it back. A failure is retried after an hour. Two failures in a row open one alert.
Errors on our side are counted separately
If 5 or more uploads fail on our side, and at least 20% of the attempts in 24 hours, you get one email. A shopper's dropped connection or a wrong file type never counts.
Storage is watched
You get one email at 80% of the storage and one when it is full.
A quiet period is flagged
If uploads stop for far longer than your store's usual gap, you get one email, and one more when they return.
Limits and your data
- Scopes requested
- None
- File types
- JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, PDF
- Largest file
- 25 MB
- Storage on Free
- 1 GB
- Files kept for
- 30, 90 or 180 days (default 90)

- If you uninstall
- On uninstall the app stops its work and sends no more emails. Your files and settings are deleted when Shopify sends its shop-erasure notice, about 48 hours later, or on their deletion date if that comes first.
- The Free plan
- The upload box on every product page. Files up to 25 MB, 1 GB of storage, kept 30, 90 or 180 days. Every alert and the weekly summary are included.A paid plan is planned. It does not exist yet, and Free stays.
Is it for you?
Let customers attach their own photo or artwork on a product page, and be sure it reaches the order, and that I hear if uploads stop working.
A good fit if
- Stores that make products from a customer's own file: prints, photo gifts, signs, engraving
- Owners who want the file kept with the order, not lost in an inbox
- Stores that want to know the day uploads stop working
Not the right app if
- Stores on a theme without JSON product templates; it cannot host an app block
- Stores that need video, SVG or zip uploads; only five file types are accepted
- Stores that need the upload in quick-add or collection cards; the box is on the product page only
Why not do it by hand
Without this, an upload box is a hope. It can show one limit and enforce another, or stop working for days, and you find out from an annoyed customer. This keeps the file with the order, shows the real limit, and tells you when the path breaks.
Why it will be worth paying for
A paid plan is planned for larger files and more storage. Free stays. The paid plan does not exist yet and is not part of what Free does today.

Changelog
First release, in Shopify App Review
New
- An upload box for your product page, added from the theme editor with no code, that shows the limits it really enforces.
- The file name goes on the order line, and each file can be downloaded from the order link.
- If uploads stop working, the app emails you once, and once more when it recovers.
- Choose which file types are accepted and how long files are kept.
Questions before you install
Can anyone who has a file's link download it?
Yes, until its deletion date. The link is a long random address that is not shown to the shopper at checkout, but anyone who is sent it can open it. Files are kept in private storage and served only as downloads. Do not forward order emails that hold the link.
What do you store about the shopper?
The file, its cleaned file name, size, type and dates. If the shopper was logged in to your store, their Shopify customer id too. We do not store their IP address, browser, name or email. The file itself may hold anything the shopper chose to upload.
Does it work with Buy it now and quick-add?
Add to cart and Buy it now were tested on the Horizon theme on a development store. Quick-add, Shop Pay and a sticky add-to-cart bar were not tested, so we do not claim them. The box sits on the product page only.
