The problem it fixes
Export apps fail quietly: a file comes up short and the gap turns up at month end in the books. Order Export counts every file against your store's own order total.
- 01
The file shows up without you
Pick daily or weekly, the time, and the address that should receive it. The orders for the period land in that inbox as a CSV.
Daily or weekly schedule, sent to an address you type in Settings
- 02
You know the file is complete
Every export is counted against the number of orders Shopify itself reports for the same period and filters. If the numbers differ, the run is marked Incomplete.
Every run is checked against Shopify's own order count
- 03
A problem reaches you, not your accountant
If a run fails or comes back short, you get an email that day. When it works again, you get one note saying so, not a stream of reminders.
Failure and short-run alert emails, plus one note when it recovers
- 04
The file has the columns you use
Choose the period, payment and fulfillment status filters and the exact columns, with one row per order or per line item.
Settings: Which orders, Columns, One row per
- 05
A paper trail for every run
Export history lists the last 30 exports: when each ran, orders found, orders written, rows, and the reason for any failure.

How scheduled order export works
- 1
Choose who gets the file
In Settings, type the email address under Send exports to. The app never fills it in for you.
- 2
Set when and which orders
Pick How often, the send time in your shop's time zone, the Period, and the payment and fulfillment status filters.
- 3
Send a test export
On Home, Send test export covers today and the previous 6 days. It does not change your schedule.
- 4
Read the receipt
Each scheduled run sends an email with a private download link. Export history shows what was found, written and delivered.
What it watches for you
Counted against Shopify's own total
After every run, the number of distinct orders in the file is compared with the order count Shopify reports for the same period and filters.
Alerts when a run fails or falls short
A failed run, or one marked Incomplete, sends you an email. The app retries on its own and tells you once when it is working again.
A file that is too big is a failure, not a trim
A file over 20 MB is never cut short. The run fails with a clear reason and you get the alert.
Limits and your data
- Orders per export
- Up to 20,000 orders
- File size
- Up to 20 MB per file
- Download link and file kept
- 7 days, then deleted
- How far back orders go
- Last 60 days of orders
- Shopify access
- read_orders only
- Export history
- Last 30 exports shown
- What the email carries
- A link only, no order data
- If you uninstall
- Scheduled exports stop at once and any export files we hold for your shop are deleted. The rest of your data is removed after Shopify's shop redact request, which comes 48 hours later.
- The Free plan
- One daily or weekly scheduled export, up to 20,000 orders and 20 MB per file, export history and run checks, email alerts for failed or short exports, and email support.A paid plan is planned for more than one schedule. Free stays.
Is it for you?
Get my store's orders as a CSV in my inbox every day or week, without logging in, and know that none are missing.
A good fit if
- Stores whose bookkeeper or ops person needs a regular order file.
- Merchants who want to know a file is complete, not just that it was sent.
- Stores that want exact columns and filters in the CSV.
Not the right app if
- Stores that need orders older than 60 days.
- Anyone who needs a file pushed to another system. Order Export only emails a download link.
- Stores that need more than 20,000 orders in a single export.
Why not do it by hand
By hand, someone has to remember to export, filter and send the file every week, and nothing tells you when it was incomplete. Order Export does the sending, and checks each file against Shopify's own order count so a short file is flagged the same day.
Why it will be worth paying for
A paid plan is planned for the time and risk it would remove, such as more than one schedule. Free stays, and the checks and alerts are part of it.

Changelog
Every column you tick is exported
Fixed
- When you ticked several columns in the same group, some of them could be left out of the CSV. All ticked columns are now exported.
First release, in Shopify App Review
New
- Scheduled CSV exports of your orders, sent to an email address that you type in.
- The CSV is delivered by a private download link that works for 7 days, instead of an email attachment. The email itself contains no order data.
- Settings let you choose the columns, filters, schedule and time of day, and pause or resume exports.
- Customer details such as email, phone and shipping address are left out unless you select those columns, and the app asks Shopify only for the details you selected.
- If Shopify has not yet approved this app to read customer details, the export still goes out without the customer columns, and the email says which columns were left out.
- A Home page shows the status of your exports, a short setup guide and your recent exports, and a run log lists each export.
- A test export covers today and the 6 days before, so a new store with only a few orders still gets a file.
- You get an email if an export fails or comes up short, and another when it recovers.
- If Shopify slows the app down, it waits and tries again. An export that would take too long stops with a clear message and asks you to choose a shorter period.
Questions before you install
What happens if an export fails or misses orders?
You get an email the same day saying what happened. The app retries on its own, and tells you once when it is working again. Every run, good or bad, shows in Export history.
Is my customers' data safe in the email?
The email carries a private download link, not the file. The file is kept for 7 days and deleted, and deleted at once if you uninstall. Customer columns are only requested when you select them.
Can this Shopify order export app send all my past orders?
No. It asks Shopify for read_orders only, which covers the last 60 days of orders. It does not request access to full order history.
